The wooden pieces fit so precisely that the whole frame feels solid once assembled, and watching the crank turn the film reel is oddly meditative. I’ve built a few puzzles before, but this one’s moving mechanism really sets it apart.

The gears click together so satisfyingly as you build the mechanism, and the plywood has a lovely smooth feel. Took me a couple of evenings, but watching the crank turn the whole thing feels like a real reward.

The gears and crank fit together so satisfyingly that I lost an entire evening assembling it, and the finished wooden vitascope looks fantastic on my shelf. The pieces are precisely cut too, which made the build far less frustrating than other 3D puzzles I've tried.
