The snow-dusted machiya storefronts look so delicate and cozy once assembled, and the warm glow from the LEDs really sells the winter alleyway vibe. It took me a quiet evening to finish, but the paper pieces fit together cleanly without any frustrating gaps.
I was nervous about the LED wiring, but the instructions were surprisingly clear, and that glowing lantern light against the snow-dusted roofs looks stunning on my shelf. The wooden machiya pieces fit together snugly, and it took me a cozy evening to finish.
The lighting on the glowing paper lanterns really brings the snowy alley to life once it's assembled. Took me a couple of evenings to finish, but the machiya details are worth the patience, even if a couple of tiny pieces needed a steady hand.
