The rotating barrel mechanism actually works after assembly, which is way cooler than I expected for a wooden kit. The pieces fit together so precisely that I didn't need any sanding, and the LED lights add a nice glow when you spin it.
It took me about two evenings to snap everything together, and the way the rotating barrel clicks as you turn the crank is oddly satisfying. The LED lights really make it pop on a shelf, and I love that it’s a fun build one day and a cool display piece the next.
